Sick and Tired of Being Sick and Tired? Try this...

There's a pandemic happening, yes. The world is changing at a rapid pace that most are finding it hard to keep up with, this is true. The mental acrobatics we put ourselves through during the day is exhausting and creating much dis-ease within ourselves, and in turn within our communities.


The news, the worry, the guilt, the shame, the anxiety, the depression all sparked by a fear of the unknown. Here's the thing, the unknown has always been there. We've never really known what the next second holds for us, we have been caught in the spell of a society of certainty. Knowing our kids are going back to school after Labor Day, acknowledging our vacation time is in May, buying our flights to Grandma's in Boca Raton for Christmas. All of these activities and thoughts provided us with some form of certainty, which made us feel safe and in control. However, the future has always been uncertain, and everything can change in the blink of an eye. As the world has witnessed everyday for the past 6 months.


It is all of this uncertainty that is creating so much stress in our bodies, activating our sympathetic nervous system, a.k.a. fight or flight. When our sympathetic system is activated increased levels of adrenaline and subsequently cortisol (the stress hormone) is released into our bodies, expediting the aging process, putting stress on our organs, constricting blood vessels, decreasing function of the large intestine, increasing heart rate and lung action.


When we aren't giving ourselves a break from stress the parasympathetic nervous system (rest and digest) has no room to do its job, to bring us back to level of homeostasis (maintaining a stable internal state.) No wonder we're feeling so sick, and so tired.


What if I told you there's another way to live? A manner that will provide ultimate freedom from stress and an ability to maintain a stable and healthy life? This is done through the power of decision.


We're constantly giving our power away to the trials, tribulations, and traumas of the world, when at the core we fail to realize we are making the decision to do this. By being caught up in all of life's stresses we remain in a state of being UNGRATEFUL. And that, my friends is why you're so drained, so anxious, so combative, so unaware.

To make the decision to end your suffering, is to choose gratitude. Being grateful for everything that you have right in this moment, and trusting that you are truly divinely protected, and any and everything you could ever need, want, and desire is on its way to you. That is how you break this cycle of being sick and tired. We can only bare so much in these human bodies. Our brains can only process so much trauma, guilt, shame, anxiety. Eventually, we will have to make a decision, to choose Life or choose death. Not necessarily physical death, but the ending of any possibility that you will be able to experience true happiness in your life.

If you want to be happy you have to choose to be happy. If you want love you have to choose love. If you want to stop being sick and tired you have to choose to be grateful for everything that you have, in this moment. There is so much magic around you, that you are missing out on! Bountifuls of blessings looking to actualize into your existence that you are ignoring. It's time to take your power back, Sōl Tribe.

Take a look around you and name 20 things you're grateful for. Some examples...running water, electricity, healthy eyes, your dog, your house plants, Hulu, your guitar, the fact that your heart has been beating non-stop since you were in your mothers womb, and will continue to work hard for you for the rest of your life!

Take a moment and be grateful for everything you've got. And then you will be able to experience moments of unadulterated bliss and freedom.
